About Laura A. Yiengst
Laura A. Yiengst is orginally from Littleton, Colorado. After high school she attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, minors in Psychology and Sociology, and a Certificate in Criminal Justice. Her Juris Doctor degree is from the University of Colorado.
After graduation, Ms. Yiengst took and passed the Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Colorado Bars. She is currently inactive in Colorado and Pennsylvania. She is admitted to all Delaware Courts, Federal Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ms. Yiengst clerked for the late Judge Sugerman in West Chester, Pennsylvania. After the clerkship she took a position with the Delaware Attorney General's Office in Kent County, assisting in developing the Domestic Violence unit. She then went into private practice, focusing mainly on criminal and family law. Her practice areas also include civil litigation, contracts, collections, mediation, arbitration, co-parent counseling, and parent coordination.
Ms. Yiengst is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; the Delaware Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; the Delaware State Bar Association, including the Family Law, Small and Solo Practitioners, and Alternative Dispute Resolution sections; the Kent County Bar Association; the Terry-Carey Inns of Court; and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Ms. Yiengst has over 30 years of experience and actively practices throughout the entire State of Delaware. She is committed to personal, professional, and compassionate service.
